The old Kauai Surf Hotel, presently the Kauai Marriott, was the first hotel to open on Kauai at KALAPAKI BEACH in the late 1950s. The 'Kauai Beach Boys' is Kauai's longest operating beach concession that has been teaching visitors and locals how to best enjoy what the ocean has to offer. These are professional watermen, accomplished surfers, sailors and canoe handlers who make a living doing what they are best at and who are willing to share their knowledge of the ocean with a true spirit of ALOHA.

The bay fronting KALAPAKI BEACH offers some of the safest waters in the State of Hawaii. The conditions here are well suited for a wide array of Water Sports and Activities such as: Surfing, Kayaking, Snorkeling, Sailing and Outrigger Canoe Paddling. You will find the Kauai Beach Boys right next door to Duke's Restaurant (named after the most illustrious Oahu Surfer Duke Kahanamoku) .

Kauai Beach Boys has a second location at the Marriott Waiohai Resort on the south shore of Kauai. Poipu Beach is the most popular beach on this side of the island. Consistently clear water makes for ideal snorkeling conditions, while the reef fronting the resort provides a year round surf break that is especially good during the summer months. POIPU and WAILUA

SURFING LESSONS are given daily at Kalapaki Beach. Each lesson is a group lesson of no more than 4 students per instructor (depending on surf conditions), and is 1 1/2 hours. The first portion is a thorough land lesson that practices the basic surfing skills, safety and ocean knowledge. The next hour is spent in the water with the instructor catching waves and practicing your skills. Lessons include a land demo, stable boards, rash guard shirts and booties.  Kalapaki Beach offers one of Kauai's best beginning surfing locations.

SNORKEL GEAR

We rent high quality gear at great prices. Our Snorkel Gear includes SILICONE MASKS, DRY SNORKELS, OPTICAL LENSES, FINS, FISH ID CARDS and a mesh carrying bag. Free snorkeling instruction and tips are available with every rental as well as a snorkel map to direct you to the best snorkel spots on Kauai.

SURFBOARDS & BOOGIE BOARDS

A full range of boards are available for rent by the hour, the day or the week. Haven't surfed before? Join us for a lesson.

OCEAN KAYAKS

Double or Single sit-on-top kayaks are rented with life jackets and high back rests.

STAND UP PADDLE BOARDS

Experienced stand up paddlers or beginners, we have boards and paddles available for rent as well as lessons for the first timer.

SCUBA DIVING

For the first-time diver to the seasoned veteran, there is some great diving here on Kauai. Professional, friendly dive instructors will take you on an underwater adventure that you won't forget. Certified dives, introductory dives and certification classes are available.

HAWAIIAN OUTRIGGER CANOE

This is the ocean activity that made Waikiki Famous.
